About MethaVision

MethaVision is a smart safety system designed to protect miners from invisible and rapidly developing underground hazards. Built as a pair of intelligent safety glasses, it combines real-time gas detection, environmental monitoring, and AI-powered risk analysis to provide personal, hands-free protection in high-risk environments.The glasses are equipped with advanced sensors that detect hazardous gases such as methane (CH₄), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO₂), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), and oxygen (O₂). Temperature and pressure are also continuously monitored to identify sudden environmental changes. All data is analyzed in real time by an embedded AI processor that looks beyond fixed thresholds and detects early warning patterns as risks begin to form.When a potential danger is identified, the system delivers immediate visual, auditory, and vibrational alerts. A color-coded augmented-reality interface allows workers to understand rising threats instantly, without stopping their work or using their hands. This gives miners critical seconds to react before conditions become life-threatening.Unlike traditional handheld detectors or fixed monitoring systems, MethaVision focuses on the individual worker. By integrating all monitoring functions into lightweight safety glasses, the system stays with the miner at all times and reflects exposure exactly where it occurs.
MethaVision is not designed to replace existing safety infrastructure, but to strengthen it. By adding a personal, proactive layer of protection, it aims to reduce preventable accidents and help ensure that more workers return home safely at the end of each shift.

MethaVision is designed to work quietly in the background while miners focus on their job.

1. Continuous sensingThe smart safety glasses continuously monitor the surrounding environment using integrated gas, temperature, and pressure sensors positioned close to the breathing zone. This allows the system to capture the conditions that directly affect the worker, not just the general area.

2. Real-time AI analysisAll sensor data is processed instantly by an embedded AI system. Instead of waiting for fixed danger thresholds to be crossed, the system looks at trends and sudden changes in the data to identify risks as they begin to form.
